A woman has died after falling at a Scots beauty spot on one of the hottest days in Scotland for two years. Emergency crews raced to waterfalls at Campsie Glen in East Dunbartonshire, north of Glasgow, at around 12.35pm on Saturday, July 12. Police had been told the 63-year-old had fallen near a car park at the popular spot.

Temperatures are expected to hit 25C or higher for at least three consecutive days. The forecasts is for temperatures up to 30C for Glasgow, Stirlingshire, Angus and parts of the Highlands on Saturday.
