Strong Santa Ana winds pushed a wildfire across critically dry terrain in the Bonsall area early Tuesday, charring more than 80 acres and forcing the evacuation of homes in the path of the fire, officials said.

Southern California will continue to face "dangerous fire weather conditions" including strong Santa Ana winds and extremely low humidity through later this week, forecasters said Tuesday.

More than 31,000 people have been ordered to evacuate, and another 23,000 are under evacuation warnings from the path of the fire around Castaic Lake.

Forecasters say weaker winds will hit on Saturday night and Sunday, and that there will be no relief until the county gets rain.
