The 46,820 in-person ballots Bexar County cast on Monday were up roughly 41% from the first day of early voting in 2020.

Almost 47,000 people cast a ballot Monday at one of Bexar County’s 51 early voting sites, besting the previous first-day turnout record from 2016.

The Dallas County Elections Department is addressing an issue that led to long wait times for some voters on the first day of in-person early voting.
