More than half a dozen wildfires continued to burn across Colorado Monday morning, but firefighters have been able to get control over several of the blazes.

Firefighters in Colorado are battling the Lee Fire, which has scorched more than 113,000 acres as of Monday morning. The fire forced the evacuation of a prison over the weekend, and officials are warning residents to be prepared to evacuate if winds pick up as dry weather persists.

Two major wildfires are burning in Rio Blanco County. The Lee Fire, which grew over the weekend to more than 113,000 acres, now stands as the 5th largest wildfire in Colorado state history. It’s only 7 percent contained. The nearby Elk Fire is just over 14,000 acres and just 30 percent contained.
