Penny, 26, was acquitted of criminally negligent homicide and manslaughter after his 2023 murder of Jordan Neely, 30, whom he forced him to the ground and held around the neck until Neely died on a subway ride.
Daniel Penny, who was acquitted in December on charges of negligent homicide after putting a man in a chokehold on a subway car in New York City, landed a role with a major investment firm.
Mr. Penny had many supporters among Silicon Valley conservatives who thought he’d been wrongfully accused in the racially charged case.
