A body found in Norfolk, Virginia, has been identified as missing Navy sailor Angelina Resendiz, and another sailor is in pretrial confinement, the Naval Criminal Investigative Service confirmed

A representative of the family of missing sailor Angelina Resendiz said they are waiting on DNA testing to determine if the remains found are hers.

The Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) is seeking information related to the disappearance of U.S Navy Seaman Angelina Petra Resendiz. The agency says Angelina has not been seen or been in contact with her friends or family since May 29.
