North Carolina G.M. Mike Lombardi has once again called a report regarding the potential NFL future of UNC head coach Bill Belichick a fake.

The North Carolina Tar Heels ' football program made one of the biggest surprise hires of the offseason after signing Bill Belichick to a five-year contract with an annual salary of $10 million. However, most of the guarantees are within the first three years of the deal.

Bill Belichick is adding another seasoned NFL coach to his staff at North Carolina. Mike Priefer will be the new special teams coordinator for the Tar Heels, according to ESPN’s Pete Thamel. Priefer, 58, coached special teams for more than two decades across the NFL.
