India and the European Union have signed a landmark free trade agreement being called "mother of all deals" as it represents about a third of global trade.

The trade agreement is expected to be among the most comprehensive deals that India would sign, which could benefit India’s labour-intensive sectors, ranging from marine products, textiles, footwear and sports goods.

European stocks were higher on Tuesday morning, as international trade and corporate earnings come into focus.
