Michigan men's basketball was desperate for a big man with Vlad Goldin definitely leaving -- being out of eligibility -- and Danny Wolf likely going to the NBA. The Wolverines landed their first big man when Illinois' transfer Morez Johnson committed to Michigan over several high-caliber SEC programs.

The transfer portal in college basketball is in full swing, with Michigan basketball having received one incoming transfer in former North Carolina Tar Heels point guard Elliot Cadeau and losing three in point guard Tre Donaldson, forward Sam Walters, and forward Jace Howard. The Wolverines now can make it two and three.

Morez Johnson Jr. had a list of seventeen teams, if not more, reportedly interested in him on Monday. Now, on Tuesday, he’s down to a final six as for where he could commit to out of the NCAA Transfer Portal.
