Spring football has always been a highly anticipated event for college football fans. However, Michigan State University is taking a different approach in 2025. Instead of hosting an open scrimmage for fans at Spartan Stadium,

Michigan State last held a spring game at Spartan Stadium in 2019. The COVID-19 pandemic shut down 2020’s game and the program has held publicly-viewed practices the past four years, including last spring’s “Spartan Showcase” in Smith’s first few months manning the program.

You can add Michigan State to the growing list of college football programs that aren't going to be hosting a spring game this year.
