Mike Lindell, founder of MyPillow, has been ordered to pay a former employee millions in damages after he was found liable for defamation. Lindell called the former employee, Eric Coomer, a traitor and accused him of stealing the 2020 presidential election on his online media platform. Coomer, was awarded $2.3 million in damages.

The verdict stems from a lawsuit filed by Coomer, who claimed that Lindell's false statements ruined his ability to work in the elections industry and destroyed his career and life.

Eric Coomer, the former product strategy and security director for Denver-based Dominion Voting Systems, is suing MyPillow founder Mike Lindell for defamation, arguing that Lindell used his public platforms to spread the false claim that Coomer was involved in stealing the 2020 election for Joe Biden.
