The Mavericks and the Stars are fighting a legal battle over control and ownership of their shared arena, the American Airlines Center. The court jury trial court date was announced for 2026.

The Dallas Stars are down yet another forward early this season. Radek Faksa was ruled out for Tuesday’s game against the Edmonton Oilers. Stars coach Glen Gulutzan said at morning skate Tuesday that Faksa would be a game-time decision — but did not give a reason for his potential absence.
