The Washington Commanders opened the preseason with a disappointing 48-18 loss to the New England Patriots on Friday. Of course, Washington sat 30 players, almost all of its starters, including quarterback Jayden Daniels and backup QB Marcus Mariota.

Mike Vrabel was among the many who were in attendance for Brady's ceremony, but he quickly had to depart as it was the start of a new era for the Patriots, with the first preseason game against the Commanders taking place.
