Certain physicality has been taken out of modern day baseball, but Ian Happ's collision with Colson Montgomery in Sunday's game between the White Sox and Cubs was legal.

The prized rookie shortstop hit a three-run homer to tie the game and later broke it open with a two-run double.

Montgomery made his major league debut with the White Sox on July 4 against the Colorado Rockies at Coors Field in Denver. Through his first 52 plate appearances, he has a .267 batting average and a .753 OPS with one double, one triple and seven RBIs.
