Gov. Ned Lamont directed U.S. and state flags lowered to half-staff in honor of a firefighter killed the line of duty while responding to a brush fire in Berlin.

Authorities have released the name of a firefighter who died after a utility task vehicle rolled over at the scene of a massive brush fire on Lamentation Mountain Tuesday evening. Officials said a Wethersfield firefighter died and three others were hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.
