Tens of thousands of anti-government protesters in Belgrade on Friday stood in silence in front of the state television RTS building for 15 minutes to commemorate victims of a railway station roof collapse for which they blame Serbian authorities.

Thousands of people have blocked traffic at a key motorway intersection in Serbia’s capital during student-led street protests over the collapse of a concrete canopy that killed 15 people more than two months ago.

The demonstration is one of the biggest in years against alleged pro-government bias by the RTS television station.
